At the Tbilisi State Academy of Art, there was opened an exhibition, showing photos, representing middle ages paintings of Kvemo Svaneti. The project, titled “Inventory reconciliation of the Kvemo Svaneti monuments ” was worked out by the Union “We preserve heritage”. The works, carried out in 2009, by Ivane Khenia (project leader), Guram Patarkalishvili (architect), George Gagoshidze (artist-restorator), Elguja Pirveli (technical manager), was funded by the Georgian Fund for historical monuments protection and preservation.
