Hope Box at the Tbilisi State Academy of Art

 

 

On 3 November, 2009, in an exhibition hall of the Tbilisi State Academy of Art, the project HOPE BOX, that traveled almost all over the world, had left Georgia. Project had started in the gallery “Lain”, while celebration of “Tbilisoba”. The project core was to unite artistes of different nationalities into one project, to say more clearly, onto one large picture plain. In the academy gallery, there were exhibited about 20 collages, that were signed by more then ten authors. According to the words of Ketevan Paichadze, Director of the gallery “Lain”, the first place who extended hospitality to this project, the project implies festivities of peace, friendship and art all over the world, in a way of establishing the exhibitions and performances sort art activities.
HOPE BOX is Rienke Enghardt’s works unification, as well. The goal of the HOPE BOX is to create art without boundaries and with joint efforts, that’ll represent variety of realities. Since 1991, 150 artists from 36 counties had participated in the project.
